7 Hours at Sunway Pyramid

Today, I was at Sunway Pyramid for 7 hours. That's how I spent my Monday public holidays with David and Cheryl. At around 10.30am, we had breakfast at Starbucks. The Toffee Nut hot drink was excellent! Reminded me of Butterscotch drinks. 3 of us chat about the life in Melbourne and Sydney. I shared my experience in Melbourne with them too. I miss alot on the Great Ocean Road and the other national parks. The gardens at Melbourne too. Awesome!! And not forgetting, my lovely friends in Melbourne ;) Later KaiTing joined us at Starbucks. We walked and window shopped a lot. Mostly David and Cheryl were checking out the stuffs.

Lunch was at Mong Kok Cafe. Joined by David's friend. Five of us had a good chat there. We left there place for more walking and window shopping. From the old wing to the new wing and back to the old wing. We had quite a long stop at a pet store. David was shopping for food for his hamsters. I was tempted to get hamsters for myself too. But after looking at my defunct, now thrown away mini aquarium, I still need to think deeper about it first, HAHAHA.

For afternoon tea, we had our Chinese Herbal Jelly, 龟苓膏, at Kwong Woh Tong. I love this jelly and it helps to reduce the body heat too. We had a good chat on travelling while eating our desserts. We talked about cruising on a Star cruise liner (Star Virgo, Star Gemini, etc), then the snorkelling trips at Tioman and Redang, the trips to Bangkok and etc. I haven't been to BKK or done any ocean cruise before. Some said ocean cruise can be boring. But BKK is excellent and affordable place to visit. Looking forward to it.

We wanted to watch movies but the movie time wasn't to our selection. KT and David's friend left Pyramid, while 3 of us went to Jusco to shop for our steamboat stuffs. A variety of fishballs, mushroom, vegetables, etc. Plus 2 big bottles of beer. Cheryl and David will be at my place for New Year countdown. I think 3 of us gonna be drunk that nite.

In the evening, Cheryl and David visited my place. I need to keep those steamboat stuffs in my fridge too. They had a good tour of my house (not that it's SO BIG, just the size of a HDB Singapore flat, LOL) and had a good chat there. Dinner was at the famous yong tau foo (vegetables with stuffed meat) at the Puchong New Village. Still as delicious as ever. Reminded me that I need to add this place to the 'dining venue with Ames' list, on top of the existing 2 places.

Definitely a great day out with those lovely bunch.

  1. Yo, you love Toffee Nut Latte? It's actually a waste that in Malaysia Starbucks, they don't serve Ginger Bread Latte like they do serve in Hong Kong, USA, Australia (not sure if they have it this year in Aus or not but it used to have).

  2. Hey, I like the chinese herbal jelly (gui ling gao) at Kwong Woh Tong too! Always buy from them whenever I pass by in 1Utama or MidValley.

Bangkok is a nice place you must visit! I have been there a few times and I never get bored! Just make sure the political situation is stable otherwise you may just find yourself stranded there with the airports closed! : )
