Ho Boh Lui Char Food Review

My usual Sunday breakfast is an acquired taste. Not many people like it because of the overly 'green' taste. It's called Lui Char rice, 擂茶. It consist of several kinds of finely chopped vegetables, peanuts, dried shrimps and mixed with rice. And also with a bowl of grinded smooth green vegetable soup.

This afternoon lunch, Ames brought me to this shop, Ho Boh Lui Char, along Jln Puchong. If you are coming from the LDP (turning into Jln Puchong), the shop is located at the shophouses before the Shell station. It was an excellent place . I totally love the food selection and the place ambience.

Both of us ordered brown rice lui char, and we also had stir fried lotus roots and fried tofu with stuffed meat. For drinks, we of us had panax ginseng tea. The drink was refreshing (and also replenished back the energy). The lui char was wonderfully done with the fresh taste of finely minced vegetables, peanuts and dried shrimps. It was really appetizing. The stir-fried lotus roots were sweet and the gravy can go well with some plain rice. The fried tofu with stuffed meat was a bit hard but nonetheless, it was good too.

Since both of us were a fan of Lui Char, we really enjoyed the meal and were thoroughly satisfied. Highly recommended if you are fan of vegetables, like us. Looking forward to eat there again. Plus, it's a very healthy meal too. Good for the digestive track!
