2009 New Year Homely Affair

The 2009 New Year celebration was a homely affair. David and Cheryl had steamboat at my place. Too much food. Cannot finish! Later on William joined us too. We had beers and more beers. 5 bottles but I think that's a bit too few by David and Cheryl standards, HAHAHAHA. By around midnite, we stood by the window and balcony to watch the fireworks. Some of the houses at the adjacent area gave quite a good fireworks show. I bet they must have spent a lot money on it. The fireworks are not cheap. And then we had a lot of camwhore!! Most of the nice one were from William. He's really good at making pose! By 1am, William had to leave. Cheryl was off to bed soon after. Left David and me watching The Mummy on TV at the sofa. The movie was quite entertaining eventhough it was quite a few years ago.

On the first day of 2009, the morning was spent chatting with David and Cheryl, before they left. Afternoon was sleepy affair. Spent the earlier afternoon reading Paulo Coelho books and went to nap. Then Ames came and we spent the evening watching the Japanese movie "Gamera: The Brave" on TV. Good show! SOmething like Godzilla. But this one was about the Tortoise versus some reptile monster. Like all the Japanese movies, it has good moral in it. Especially the kids united to help Toto to recover.

Dinner was at the Puchong yong tau foo "stuffs vegetables with meatballs". The famous eatery was crowded, as expected. Luckily we got the seats. Ames complimented the food. I was happy to know that. Both of us were very full. We spent the night at Wing's Cafe Equine Park. Less crowded but sometimes can be too empty, lacked the 'happening' feel. Suggested we give the Kuchai Lama branch a try, next time.

bolt and madagascar? sorry but only Pixar Animation Studios create short films like that. 1 new short film is always played before the actual movie, in the cinemas of course not on our DVDs.
